10 strategies

1

Delirium + Breach (Stacked)

30-60

Div/Hr

The highest ceiling in the current patch — some maps report 11+ Divines each — but it demands a strong, well-geared character and heavy tablet investment to reach.

High Budget Advanced

Map Tier: T15+, tanky and fast-clearing build required

Investment: 20-30 Divine in juiced tablets

Atlas Tip: Fully commit Atlas points to both Breach and Delirium encounter/reward nodes — this strategy only works when both are maxed together, not spread thin.

2

Ritual City Farming

20-30

Div/Hr

One of the highest steady-income strategies for players willing to invest — big spikes when belts drop, on top of a strong baseline.

High Budget Advanced

Map Tier: T15+, belt-focused build

Investment: Significant upfront investment

Atlas Tip: Build fully around Ritual City encounters and Tribute rerolling — this is a specialized setup, not a general Ritual spec.

3

Pinnacle Boss Farming

6-20

Div/Hr

High and consistent per-kill value once a build is fully geared for a specific pinnacle boss, but the gearing investment is the highest of any strategy here.

High Budget Advanced

Map Tier: Boss-specific build required

Investment: 10,000+ chaos-equivalent in build investment

Atlas Tip: This is a build-defining commitment, not an Atlas passive allocation — the strategy is picking (and gearing for) one pinnacle boss and repeating it.

4

Expedition

6-12

Div/Hr

Redesigned into one of the strongest raw currency generators in 0.5.x — fast runs (4-5 min) with real upside from logbooks.

Medium Budget Intermediate

Map Tier: T14+ Waystones

Investment: Modest — logbook/tablet costs

Atlas Tip: Spec encounter chance and Runic Monster/Logbook nodes.

5

Breach (Solo)

6-10

Div/Hr

Consistently ranks near the top for budget-to-mid setups without needing a Delirium stack on top.

Medium Budget Intermediate

Map Tier: T14+ Waystones

Investment: 200-500c in splinters/tablets

Atlas Tip: Max Breach encounter frequency and Splinter yield nodes.

6

Delirium (Solo)

3-8

Div/Hr

Solid on its own, but its ceiling really opens up once stacked with Breach — see the combo strategy below.

Medium Budget Intermediate

Map Tier: T14+ Waystones, fast-clearing build preferred

Investment: 200-500c in Simulacrum splinters

Atlas Tip: Prioritize encounter frequency and Simulacrum Splinter quantity nodes.

7

Abyss

3-6

Div/Hr

The best low-barrier floor in 0.5.x: consistent, mechanically simple, and cheap to juice with tablets.

Low Budget Beginner

Map Tier: T14+ Waystones

Investment: Cheap white tablets

Atlas Tip: Prioritize Abyss encounter frequency and Abyssal Trove nodes — Abyssal Commanders and Large Abyssal Troves reliably drop Desecrated Currency.

8

Strongbox

2-5

Div/Hr

The most beginner-proof farm in the game — currency drops straight out of the box, nothing to price or list on trade.

Low Budget Beginner

Map Tier: T11+ Waystones

Investment: Cheap Atlas nodes, no tablets needed

Atlas Tip: Spec into Strongbox chance and Research Strongbox nodes — Research boxes hand out Exalted Orbs and the occasional Divine on open.

9

Ritual

2-5

Div/Hr

Steady, low-risk income from Ritual altars — reroll Tribute for the omens and uniques you actually want before committing.

Low Budget Beginner

Map Tier: T14+ Waystones

Investment: No startup cost

Atlas Tip: Spec encounter frequency and Tribute reward nodes.

10

Essence

1-3

Div/Hr

Was a top beginner pick in earlier patches, but essence values have declined significantly in 0.5.x — now one of the weaker returns among major strategies.

Low Budget Beginner

Map Tier: T14+ Waystones

Investment: No startup cost

Atlas Tip: Spec encounter frequency and Remnant of Corruption chance nodes.

Why "What Should I Farm" Is The Wrong Question By Itself

Path of Exile 2's Atlas has more than a dozen league mechanics you can juice, and nearly every farming guide ranks them purely by peak divines-per-hour. That's misleading on its own — a strategy reporting 30-60 Divine/hour usually assumes a fully juiced, tanky, fast-clearing build and 20-30 Divine of tablet investment before you even start. A strategy reporting 2-5 Divine/hour with zero investment might be the objectively better choice for where you actually are right now.

This tool ranks strategies by estimated Divine/hour like everyone else, but lets you filter by your actual budget and build difficulty first — so the ranking you see is realistic for you, not just the theoretical ceiling.

Every Strategy's Divine/Hour Range, Compared

Each bar spans the low-end (budget setup, average RNG) to high-end (well-invested, good RNG) estimate for that strategy. Notice how much the ranges overlap — a well-run Breach Solo setup can outperform a poorly-run Ritual City farm, so treat these as realistic bands, not guaranteed numbers.

Divine/Hour Range By Strategy (Ranked) 0 10 20 30 40 50 60 Div/HrDelirium+Breach Ritual City Pinnacle Boss Expedition Breach Solo Delirium Solo Abyss Ritual Strongbox Essence Darker bars = higher investment/difficulty tier. Ranges are community estimates from patch 0.5.x, not official Grinding Gear Games figures.

General Atlas Passive Allocation Guide

As a general rule across every strategy above: spend your first 30-40 Atlas passive points on the mechanic you're actually farming — encounter frequency nodes first, then reward-quantity nodes for that same mechanic. Only after that specialization is solid should you fill remaining points into map-sustain nodes, which keep Tier 14-16 Waystones dropping consistently so you don't run out of maps to run. Spreading points thin across multiple mechanics early tends to underperform committing fully to one.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the single best PoE2 farming strategy right now?

There isn't one universal answer — it depends on your budget and build. Delirium+Breach stacked has the highest ceiling (30-60+ Div/hr) but needs a tanky, fast-clearing build and 20-30 Divine of tablet investment. If you don't have that yet, Abyss or Strongbox are the strongest zero-to-low-investment options.

Why did Essence farming get worse?

Essence values have declined significantly through PoE2's 0.5.x patches as the broader economy shifted — it was a recommended beginner strategy in earlier patches but is now one of the weaker returns among major strategies. This is a good example of why farming rankings need to be re-checked every league rather than trusted indefinitely.

Do I need Tier 15+ maps for every strategy?

No — Strongbox works from T11+, and most of the beginner/low-budget strategies (Essence, Ritual, Abyss) are viable from T14. The highest-ceiling strategies (Ritual City, Delirium+Breach stacked) specifically want T15+ for the extra mod density.

Are these Divine/hour numbers guaranteed?

No. They're community-estimated ranges cross-referenced across multiple current farming guides, not official Grinding Gear Games figures, and they're inherently dependent on your build's clear speed, survivability, RNG on drops, and current market prices for what you sell. Treat them as relative rankings and realistic bands, not promises.

Should I spread my Atlas points across multiple mechanics?

Generally no. Committing 30-40 points to fully maximize the one mechanic you're farming (frequency + reward nodes) outperforms spreading the same points thinly across several mechanics — a half-invested Breach and a half-invested Delirium both underperform a fully-invested version of either.

How current is this strategy data?

It reflects patch 0.5.x ("Return of the Ancients"), the current Early Access patch as of this writing, with PoE2's 1.0 full release targeted for Q4 2026. Farming values shift meaningfully with each major patch, so re-check rankings after any big economy or league mechanic change.
