Deadlock's shop is split into three columns — Weapon, Vitality, and Spirit — each with four price tiers: 800, 1,600, 3,200, and 6,400 souls, roughly doubling each step up. You have 16 total item slots: 12 base slots locked to a column (4 each), plus 4 flex slots earned from objectives rather than bought.
The single biggest timing goal in that economy is the Investment Bonus: spend 4,800 souls in one column and you unlock a permanent bonus for that column — +20% Weapon Damage, +12% Bonus Health, or +20 Spirit Power. Good players deliberately plan their early purchases around hitting 4,800 in one column before the midgame's biggest fights, rather than spreading souls evenly across all three.

What happens if I sell an item I don't want anymore?
You get a full 100% souls refund if you sell it without having left the shop's footprint since buying it. Once you've walked away from the shop and come back, selling only returns 50% of what you paid — so it pays to make sure a purchase is right before you leave the shop area.
Is Deadlock out yet?
Not fully — as of mid-2026 it's still an invite-only Valve playtest, though a very active one with 100,000+ concurrent players and regular balance patches. It's currently the most-wishlisted game on Steam, with no official full-release date announced yet.
