MLBB Rank Calculator

Calculate how many Mobile Legends ranked matches you need to climb from your current stars to your target, or the win rate required within a match budget — built on the game's real star mechanic, not a guess.

Built on the Real Star Mechanic

Winning a ranked match grants +1 star and losing costs -1 star in every tier except Warrior, which has no star loss on defeat — this is consistently reported across every source checked and is the mechanic this calculator's expected-value math is built on.

MLBB also has real "star protection" and "star-raising" bonus mechanics that build up over time from points, not a fixed per-match rate — this calculator's estimate is a baseline that doesn't model them, so real climbing is typically a bit faster than the raw number. Per-tier stars-per-division counts are also genuinely disputed between sources for Master through Legend (see the reference table below), so the calculator itself works from your own current/target star counts rather than a specific tier's division table.

How Both Calculators Work

Climb Estimate Win Rate Needed Win Rate + Warrior Toggle Net Stars/Match Expected Matches Star Gap ÷ Match Budget Solve Net-Stars Formula for w Required Win Rate Net Stars/Match = WinRate × 1 + (1 − WinRate) × StarLoss StarLoss is 0 in Warrior tier, -1 in every tier above it — the only game-specific input. Baseline math only — doesn't model star protection or star-raising bonuses.

Rank Tier Reference

Master's stars-per-division figure is genuinely disputed across sources even after several targeted research passes — treat the flagged row as approximate and verify in-game. The rest are consistently reported.

Warrior 3None
Elite 4-1
Master disputed4-1
Grandmaster 5-1
Epic 5-1
Legend 5-1

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is 50% win rate not enough to climb?

Outside Warrior, a defeat costs a star, so at exactly 50% win rate your average gain from wins (+1 × 50%) exactly cancels your average loss from defeats (-1 × 50%), netting zero progress. You need a win rate above 50% to make net progress in any tier above Warrior.

Why doesn't losing cost a star in Warrior tier?

Warrior is explicitly designed as a "climb freely" tier — it's the one rank where defeats don't cost you a star, so even a below-50% win rate still makes some net progress, just slowly.

What are star protection and star-raising?

Both are real MLBB mechanics that build up from accumulated points over time — star protection can save you from losing a star on a defeat, and star-raising can grant a bonus star on a win. Neither is a fixed per-match rate, so this calculator doesn't model them; its estimate is a baseline, and real climbing is typically a bit faster.

Why is the exact stars-per-division table incomplete or hedged?

Because sources genuinely disagree on Master through Legend's exact numbers even after multiple targeted research passes — one set of sources says Master needs 4 stars per division, another broader source claims 5 uniformly from Master through Legend. Rather than present one as settled fact, the reference table flags the disputed figure.

How does the Win Rate Needed calculator handle an impossible target?

If the required win rate would exceed 100% — meaning even winning every single match in your budget wouldn't close the gap — it's flagged as "Not achievable in this budget" rather than showing a misleading percentage.

What happens once I reach Mythic?

Mythic and above use a points system instead of stars-per-division: Mythic starts at 0, Mythical Honor unlocks at 25, Mythical Glory at 50, and Mythical Immortal at 100+. The same net-stars-per-match model still applies for planning purposes.
