How CS2 Inventory Value Is Calculated

Every wearable CS2 item starts from a Factory New base price, then two multipliers adjust it: the wear condition you actually own, and whether it's a StatTrak™ copy. Here's the exact pipeline, worked through with a Factory New StatTrak™ Karambit | Doppler:

Example: a Karambit | Doppler has a $950.00 Factory New base price. Factory New carries a 1.00× wear multiplier (no discount), and because it's a StatTrak™ knife, an extra 1.15× premium applies. $950.00 × 1.00 × 1.15 = $1,092.50 per copy — multiply by quantity for the line total, then sum every line for your full inventory value.

CS2 Wear Conditions and Their Price Impact

Most CS2 weapon skins, knives, and gloves can exist in one of five wear conditions, from pristine to heavily battle-damaged. Worse wear conditions sell for noticeably less, even though the underlying skin pattern is identical. Cases, stickers, agents, and music kits have no wear condition — they carry a single flat price instead.

Wear ConditionPrice Multiplier
Factory New (FN)1.00× — pristine condition, the highest price for any skin
Minimal Wear (MW)0.78× — nearly pristine with very light surface wear
Field-Tested (FT)0.58× — visible wear, the most commonly traded condition
Well-Worn (WW)0.46× — heavy visible wear across the skin
Battle-Scarred (BS)0.36× — the most worn condition, the lowest price for any skin

These multipliers are illustrative reference figures representative of typical CS2 market pricing patterns — not a live Steam Community Market feed. Actual wear price gaps vary by skin, and some finishes (like pattern-heavy Case Hardened or high-float Fade copies) can break from this curve entirely based on their specific float value or pattern index.

StatTrak™ Pricing — and Why Gloves Never Have It

StatTrak™ copies track a running kill/use counter and consistently sell for a premium over their standard counterpart. This calculator applies a category-based StatTrak™ multiplier: 1.15× for knives (which already carry a high base price, so the relative premium is smaller) and 1.55× for rifles, pistols, SMGs, and heavy weapons.

Gloves cannot be StatTrak™ — this is a real Counter-Strike 2 rule, not a limitation of this calculator. Valve never introduced a StatTrak™ variant for any glove model, so the StatTrak™ toggle is hidden entirely for every glove row. Cases, stickers, agents, and music kits also have no StatTrak™ concept.

CS2 Rarity Color Reference

Every item's rarity pill in your results uses the same color language CS2 uses in-game, so you can recognize an item's tier at a glance.

Inventory Value Tiers

Once every line is priced and summed, your total inventory value is classified into one of four tiers.

Under $25 — Fresh Loadout. A new or minimal inventory, mostly cases and cheap skins.

$25 – $499.99 — Solid Loadout. Enough value to negotiate mid-tier weapon skin trades.

$500 – $4,999.99 — High-Value Inventory. Real leverage for knife- and glove-tier trades.

$5,000+ — Elite Vault. An inventory that rivals the most recognizable collections in the CS2 trading community.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is my CS2 inventory value calculated?
Each item starts from a Factory New base price, then gets multiplied by its wear-condition multiplier (1.00× down to 0.36×) and, if applicable, a StatTrak™ premium multiplier. That unit price is multiplied by quantity for a line total, and every line total is summed into your final inventory value.
Are these prices live Steam Community Market data?
No. The prices used here are illustrative, community-representative reference figures for well-known items — not a live marketplace feed. CS2 skin prices move constantly with real trading activity, so always cross-check current listings on the Steam Community Market before buying, selling, or trading.
Why can't I make my gloves StatTrak™?
This matches a real in-game rule — Valve has never released a StatTrak™ variant for any glove model in Counter-Strike 2. Every glove item in this calculator has its StatTrak™ toggle hidden for that reason, not as a calculator limitation.
Why don't cases, stickers, agents, and music kits have a wear condition?
Wear conditions only apply to weapon skins, knives, and gloves — items with a paint finish that visibly degrades. Cases, stickers, agents, and music kits are unpainted collectibles with a single flat price, so their wear selector is hidden automatically when you pick one of these item types.
What does the "Contraband" rarity mean on M4A4 | Howl?
M4A4 | Howl is the only Contraband-grade skin in Counter-Strike 2 history. It was pulled from drops and cases shortly after release, so it can only be acquired through trading today — a scarcity factor this calculator flags in your Tips whenever your inventory includes one.
Can I add the same item twice with different wear conditions?
Yes. Add the same item as two separate rows, each with its own wear condition and quantity — for example, two Field-Tested AK-47 | Redline plus one Factory New copy. Each row is priced independently before being summed into your total.
How many items can I add to one calculation?
Up to 40 rows per calculation, each supporting a quantity of 1–99. That's enough headroom to total most real CS2 inventories, including stacked cases and stickers, in a single pass.
Is this the same as the site's CS2 skin ROI tool?
No. A single-item ROI tool answers "is this one skin a good investment" by comparing purchase price against current value. This calculator answers a different question — "what is everything I currently own worth" — by totaling an entire multi-item inventory in one pass.
